The throttle control

This joystick functions as an accelerator with which you can move the boat forward and put it in reverse. You can also control your speed with the joystick.
 
The helm

With the helm you can steer the boat to the right and left.

Here you will find enough space to put away your things and keep them dry.
 
The propeller

The propeller

In case a plastic bag is caught in the propeller you can put the boat in full power in reverse. This activates a mechanism which is attached to the propeller and can dispose of things that are stuck there.
 
The key

The key

In order to activate the boat you turn the key to the right. You can tell if the boat is working by moving the joystick forwards or backwards.
 
The plug

The plug

Unplug the plug from the socket on the dock before you leave. You can roll up the cord by giving it a short tug.
 
Lighting

Lighting

The lighting comes on immediately when you start the boat. Additional bow lights are installed so you will be visible in the dark.
 
The draining plug

The draining plug

Make sure that the draining plug, which is located in the bottom of the boat, is properly closed. It can be closed by way of putting a plug into the hole. Then turn the handle of this plug towards the floor in such a way that the handle is parallel to the bottom of the boat.

Unplug the blue plug on the dock and make sure the draining plug in the bottom of the boat is plugged in properly before you go. Start the boat by way of turning the key to the right. Then move the joystick forwards or backwards in order to set the boat into motion.

Our fleet

Our fleet

At the moment the Sloepdelen fleet exists out of fifteen identical boats. Twelve of these are docked at the Nassaukade and three boats are docked at the Borneosteiger. This year the fleet will be expanded with five new boats.

The boats

The boats are of the type Kranerweerd and built of very strong aluminium. They have been driven around the centre of Amsterdam for 15 years now and can withstand a good deal. Theoretically ten people would fit in the boat, so there is more than enough room for six people. After every trip the boats are recharged and on a full battery the boat can run for 14 hours. The boats can go up to 6 to 8 km/h.
