CO2-neutral

The Sloepdelen boats all run on electricity, which means they do not generate any direct emissions in the city centre. The discharge which results from the generation of the electricity that we use is being compensated for by the organisation ONE2GREEN. It involves a discharge of 3.54 ton CO2 (calculated for the year 2010), which is being compensated for by investing in green projects.

The initiative

Sloepdelen has been established with the aim to provide a solution to all those people who live in and around Amsterdam and would like to go on a boat trip on a free afternoon or during the weekend, but don’t want to spend thousands of euro’s on the purchase and maintenance of a new boat. We offer luxurious, spacious and well functioning boats which can be booked by way of a simple system. Not only do we consider Sloepdelen to be a valuable asset to our customers, but also to the region. Due to the fact that the boats are electric we contribute to the diminution of air pollution in the city of Amsterdam. This way we subscribe to the renewed, green policy of the city of Amsterdam.
